Services

Regardless of your age, occupation, activity level or health status, you can benefit from chiropractic care.  Whether to relieve pain, to decrease nerve irritation, to free up blocked vertebrae or to repair damaged body tissues, chiropractic care enables your body to heal itself and return to its normal, healthful state through an effective, natural and drugless approach. For those already in good health and wishing to remain so, regular follow-up visits allow the repair of small unnoticed daily damage before it accumulates and causes trouble.

What is pain ?

Pain is the signal your body uses to inform you of the presence of various anomalies such as damaged muscles, blocked vertebrae, irritated nerve roots, arthritis and  rheumatism, and other conditions.  In the specific case of the back and neck, these anomalies are often referred to as vertebral subluxations (VSC).  Chiropractic care relieves your pain by decreasing nerve irritation, restoring the joint motion of blocked vertebrae and repairing damaged muscles.

Why a chiroprator?

A chiropractor is the only health care professionnal with 5 years of universitary training focussing exclusively on the damage and repair of the musculoskeletal system, and on the correction of vertebral dysfunction (subluxations) through the use of spinal manipulations.

What do the treatments do?

The treatments repair the damaged muscles,  blocked vertebrae and  irritated nerves responsible for many injuries, pain, discomfort, dizziness, tingling and numbness.  Further, by restoring the normal signal flow of irritated nerves, the treatments allow your nervous system to properly coordinate the various functions of your body.

How many treatments will it take?

Depending on age, health status and natural healing ability, different patients will progress at different rates for similar problems. The number of visits also depends on your personal objectives -  whether you seek only pain relief or instead you would rather correct the cause of the pain (vertebral subluxations).

I have no pain. Should I still consult with a chiropractor ?

The use of chiropractic care even in the absence of pain allows the repair of the subtle damage to your body that occurs on a daily basis before it actually become injury and pain.  Without such regular maintenance, seemingly innocuous or unnoticed damage accumulates progressively from youth, finally ending up as arthritic changes.  In order to control and limit this slow but continuous aggregation of apparently insignificant injuries, many patients choose to have them repaired through regular follow-up visits every 3 to 4 weeks, whether they experience actual physical discomfort or not.

What can I expect on my first visit with Dr Stéphane Lefebvre, chiropractor ?

Clinical, radiological and fluoroscopic examinations (radiology in motion) allow him to identify  the nature of your problem. A thorough discussion of your condition and of the therapeutic options then allows you to choose the approach that suits you best. At this point you’re ready for your treatment, and the repair of damaged tissue, the return of normal joint motion for blocked vertebrae and the relief of irritated nerves begins right at your first visit!
